Mobile websites are becoming more and more valuable as the percentage of mobile web traffic increases. For certain businesses this type of platform is becoming essential to getting and retaining customers.  Businesses that regularly have clients who are in a state of urgency, traveling, active, or time sensitivity need to have a properly designed and maintained mobile website.

Mobile browsing is set to surpass desktop web browsing by 2014.
If you own a web enabled phone what is the first thing you do when you drive by a restaurant that you haven’t seen before but would love to take your significant other to? If you are anything like me you would take out your phone (the next time you have a chance) and search for the restaurant by name. If the place pops up on my search results page then I’ll got to their site and see what kind of food they have.
Unfortunately, if you have a flash based website you are missing out on about 45% of your potential customers (more about mobile web traffic) because 43% of web enabled mobile devices are Apple devices. The report went on to say that an astounding 56% of web traffic is on an iOS (apple) enabled device. Â This operating system cannot view flash.
A business may have spent hundreds or even thousands of dollars on their beautifully designed site but if it is driven by flash it doesn’t matter to the iPhone, iPod, or iPad visitor. They can’t see anything or navigate through your site.
In addition to that debilitating problem, there are other reasons to develop a strong mobile presence. Â Many different type of businesses can benefit from mobile websites.
